La Paz
La Paz is the legislative capital of Bolivia and it sits in a bowl surrounded by high altiplano at over 12,000 feet in altitude. It is the highest capital of any country in the world and it has the world's highest international airport. You'll probably have to adjust to this altitude, and you may experience some headaches. Drink coca tea and take a mild analgesic and get plenty of rest if you experienced altitude sickness. Also bring warm clothes and jackets to La Paz, because it will be cold in the evening. One interesting thing about La Paz is that social class varies with altitude -- more affluent persons live at war altitudes, while less affluent persons lived higher altered since.
